Rock Out with Your Socks and Tattoos Out in Remembrance of Nancy

Rock Out with Your Socks and Tattoos Out - In remembrance of Nancy Leisher

Nancy’s memorial service will be held next Friday at 2pm in Colorado Springs. Lori is more than likely going to attend to represent the infertility community. Like so many of you, I wish that I could be there in person to honor Nancy’s life.

For those of us who can’t be there, here is a way that we can be present in spirit.  Being the derby girl that she was, Nancy had an affinity for badass, thigh-high socks, and any picture of her testifies to her love of tattoos. Next Friday, lets Rock Out with Our Socks and Tattoos Out. I’ve created a Facebook page on which we can share photos of our tattoos and/or of us in our crazy socks. Between now and then (and beyond), we can also share some of our favorite memories of Nancy and how she touched our lives.

The family has also given detailed information about her memorial service. All who are able to attend are welcome to come celebrate her life. They’ve also given information about to where contributions to an education fund for her children can be sent. Visit her memorial page for more information and to read her obituary.

We are still collecting money in a PayPal account. All proceeds will be forwarded along to the Leisher children’s educational fund. If you’d like to donate, please see the button in my sidebar or read my post from yesterday.

Please share the word about Rock Out with Your Socks and Tattoos Out for Nancy. Join the page, and invite others to do so, too.

Thank you for this Kym. You are wonderful for organizing all of this for her. I know she is going to have a great big laugh over everyone wearing thigh highs in July. I may have to go find some special ones just for her. 🙂

Sadly, I haven’t been able to get my childcare ducks in a row so I can attend the funeral.

I will be wearing sleeves tomorrow in honor of Nancy.

I am already missing our gangsta sister terribly 🙁

That is a really wonderful tribute. It is a big honor to Nancy and she will be so happy wherever she is.
