Today I watched Dead Poets’ Society for the first time in a long time. I always try to be that teacher who inspires students to stand on the desks of their lives in effort to view the everyday situations from brand new perspectives.
Seize the day. I’ve always been fond of this phrase. Grab the day by the lapels, shake the life out of it, and suck it all into your soul. My interpretation is a little violent, maybe, but the idea of living a day so fully that it is more tired than you are at the end of it is energizing.
I haven’t been really seizing much of anything except sleep. I think I need to purposefully structure these summer days so that I am grabbing through them and not ghosting through them.
I made this print today as a visual cue to get up and grab the day by its balls. Below, I’ve gifted you with freebie download links for this print. You can either print it from home or upload it to a photo center (like Wal-Mart or Walgreens). Pick it up in an hour and it’s yours forever. It’s formatted to fit a standard 11″ x 14″ frame with a matte.
If you put this in your somewhere in your space, come back and share a pic.
